About Fritz Search
Fritz Search helps you find books through the people who vouch for them. Look up a scholar, pastor, or author you trust and see the books in our catalog that they have written or publicly endorsed.
Why endorsements?
Publishers print endorsements on book jackets and catalog pages for a reason: a recommendation from someone whose judgment you respect is one of the best signals a book is worth your time. But those endorsements have always been scattered — one blurb on one book's back cover. Fritz Search brings them together, so you can start from a person you trust and discover what they recommend.
Where the information comes from
Everything on Fritz Search is compiled from publicly available sources — chiefly publisher catalog pages, book detail pages, and retailer listings. That includes book details (title, contributors, publication data, cover images, descriptions), the endorsements publishers publish for each book, and the short professional bylines that accompany them (for example, an endorser's title and institution as printed by the publisher). For some people we add a short professional biography from other public sources about their work, such as an institution's faculty page or the person's own website. We don't use private sources, and we don't buy data about anyone.
We work hard to reproduce this information accurately, but publisher pages change and automated collection is never perfect. If you spot an error — especially on a page about you — please tell us via the contact form and we'll fix it. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information about the people who appear on the site, and the rights you have over it.
How we write the short biographies
Biographies on Fritz Search are created by automated processes from publicly available information and are not individually reviewed by an editor. They may contain errors, attribute facts about one person to another, or be out of date or incomplete. We make efforts to verify what we can, but the process is imperfect and limited. We welcome corrections: if you spot a factual error or missing information, please let us know using the Report a problem link under the biography or our contact form, and include links to sources that show the correct or updated information.
What Fritz Search is not
We're not a store and we don't sell anything on this site. We don't accept payment for placement, and appearing on Fritz Search doesn't mean we endorse a book or an author — the endorsements you see are the publishers' and endorsers' own words, quoted from their public materials.
Coverage
Fritz Search currently focuses on non-fiction from Christian publishers, where endorsement culture is especially strong — and we're growing from there.
