“Dare to Dream dives into the life of Adam, a man caught between two worlds—one human, one werewolf—as he tries to navigate love, legacy, and a painful past. After being transformed into the Barr Alpha, the most powerful werewolf in existence, Adam finds himself torn between duty to his supernatural community and a desperate longing to remain connected to his human roots. When his adoptive father suffers a heart attack, Adam embarks on a risky journey from his protected island in Ireland to the United States—posing as a literal wolf in a cage. It's not just a fantasy adventure, it's an emotional rollercoaster that weaves family drama, magic, and personal growth. What I appreciated most about this book is how grounded the emotions feel despite the fantasy setting. The storyline about Adam trying to travel across international borders as a wolf was wild. But somehow, it works. One of the best moments comes early on when Adam realizes the only way to visit his ailing father is to smuggle himself into the U.S. inside a crate, pretending to be a breeding wolf. Andrews writes it with such sincerity that I found myself stressed about customs regulations and smuggling permits. I loved how Kate—his doctor wife—doesn't flinch. Her scene in the hangar, bringing him food while he's caged up, pleading with the airport staff to let her see him, felt tender and raw. What kept me hooked wasn't so much the action, but the emotional payoff. The relationship between Adam and Kate is genuinely sweet. They're ride-or-die for each other, and it shows. Also, I found myself liking the supporting characters a lot—especially Sean and Nora. They felt like real family. Stern, wise, fiercely loyal. You can tell the author put a lot of heart into making this found-family dynamic matter. Dare to Dream is for anyone who enjoys supernatural stories with soul. It's a book that doesn't shy away from the mushy stuff—grief, love, sacrifice—but wraps it in a werewolf fantasy setting that feels surprisingly human. If you're into shapeshifters, magical realism, and emotional storytelling that leans more heart than horror, this one's for you. Personally? I came for the werewolves, but I stayed for the feels. Andrews has created something cozy, chaotic, and heartfelt.”
