Publisher's Description

Let Go is a collection of poems that challenges the reader to look beyond the gamut of preconceived ideas, prejudices, egotism, and superiority. It is in casting aside these traits that every individual is perceived as being created in the image and likeness of our Creator who is Love. Love is the primordial characteristic of our true self. We are called to filter out all that is not of our true nature and begin tabula rasa--with a newness of vision in heart and mind--if we are to restore the dignity and worth of every human person and uphold the value of our created order.

“Sink into the unmistakably rich and exquisite stew of Anita Hessenauer’s poetry to sample the wares of our better angels. Reach and root with the banyan, feel the steaming warmth of hope in this collection, hear its melodic rhythm ring. Let Go asks us to ask more than running through the mill of this living and is, to the core, a prayer for love to quench our thirst and for light to share our darkness.”

Holly Brians Ragusa

“In Let Go, Anita Hessenauer fearlessly explores the most complex of human experiences—how we derive meaning from our all-too-brief time on earth, the connections we share with one another and our Creator, and the influence of our origin story on how we live and love. Her poems are personal and poignant and demand that you sit with them for a while. Her writing is both lyrical and jarring. A wonderful read!”

Christopher Minton

“Let Go is the amalgamation of tricontinental ethos and polytheological ecumenism by Anita Hessenauer, a ‘Mozartian’ wordsmith, traversing man’s evolution conducted by a master conductor. The first reading will engage your aesthetic senses, commanding encore aloud readings to be further mesmerized by the music and lyrics she composed. Let Go will show you the way to Truth.”
