Publisher's Description

This revolutionary and groundbreaking book provides new insights into the Scriptures. It explores the credibility and reliability of the prophecies recorded in the sacred Scriptures, as well as asking some key questions about them: What is the nature or essence of prophecy as a phenomenon? Who were the prophets who produced these prophecies? How were these prophecies fulfilled, if at all? Special attention is given to prophecies regarding the expected Messiah of Israel. The book discusses what the Jewish people expected of their Messiah(s), whether those expectations were fulfilled in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, and whether the authors of various parts of the New Testament interpreted the messianic prophecies of the Hebrew Scriptures accurately and correctly. This book uses tried and tested methods of scriptural interpretation, coupled with descriptions of how astronomical and astrological phenomena impacted certain prophets and their prophecies. This is a must-read for all Bible students.
