Turn Your Season Around

“Darryl Strawberry is an incredibly gifted and dynamic commentator whose personal transformation inspires the world. Turn Your Season Around will fill you with hope because it is filled with godly counsel and life-changing truth that will truly turn your life around! Grand slam in every way! Darryl Strawberry has an intimate understanding of God’s redemptive power and his ability to change a person from the inside out. Over the years, I have watched Darryl become a bold and unapologetic preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In his new book, Turn Your Season Around, Darryl shares not only how he has put Christ at the center of his life but also how you can experience God’s abundant life for yourself. Since I’m a fan of Darryl Strawberry, it broke my heart to learn about his personal struggles with drugs and other related problems. It was very encouraging to hear that he has become a Christian and has transformed his life! But how did it happen? How does someone go from an addict to an evangelist? In Turn Your Season Around, Strawberry describes what it takes to follow God every day. This biblically rich book will challenge you to walk more closely with Jesus and will remind you that God is always with you during all your trials, no matter what. Some people tell us how to turn our lives around. Others show us how to turn our lives around. Darryl Strawberry powerfully does both with his own compelling story of authentic transformation. Every person searching for hope will be transformed by his inspiring real-life message. Many of us fell in love with Darryl Strawberry the baseball player, but the victories he’s won off the field far surpass any ring or title that sporting competition can offer. Darryl’s life is the epitome of turning one’s season around.”

“This book is an absolute walk-off grand slam for the gospel by one of the greatest hitters who ever played the game, my friend Darryl Strawberry. Everyone who has played baseball will never view it the same. Those who’ve never played will grow to love it as Darryl leads us graciously and powerfully to love and live for Jesus! The Bible says, “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction” (2 Timothy 4:2 NIV). Darryl does that, and no matter what season of life you find yourself in, he can help you turn it around. The first time I ever spoke to Darryl, he said, “Pastor, if you want me to come and talk about baseball, I don’t want to do that. But if you want me to come and talk about Jesus, I’m your man.” Every man in America, young and old, needs to read this book. You’ll be changed by it and giving it away to everyone you know. It’s a story that needs to be heard, from one of the humblest men I know. Darryl Strawberry had the sweetest left-handed home run swing in baseball, surpassed only by the sweetness he has in his heart for God and for people. He was a warrior on the diamond, and now he is a warrior in his mission to help transform lives as God has dynamically transformed his own. I’m honored to call Darryl a friend and a brother. I strongly encourage you to read his book. You will be both encouraged and blessed!”
