Alan Loy McGinnis (1933–2005) was a family therapist, counselor, business consultant, minister, and popular speaker. McGinnis also co-founded Valley Counseling Center in Glendale, CA. McGinnis wrote The Friendship Factor (2003), Confidence (1987), and Bringing Out the Best in People (1985).
