Archaeology and the Revelation of John
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“For over two decades David A. deSilva has contributed significantly to the study of John's Apocalypse. This volume is yet another stellar and invaluable guide for reading Revelation. He expertly grounds Revelation in the real-world, first-century context of Asia Minor. Having visited the seven cities of Revelation for nearly two decades, I can confidently say that deSilva masterfully guides readers through the cities and world of Revelation with the best and most up-to-date archaeological research. The color pictures, maps, and explanations make this volume pop and come to life. I highly recommend!”
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“Christ and the New Creation exhibits a comprehensive mastery of a broad range of scholarly disciplines, hermeneutical methodologies, biblical themes, and a thorough grasp of the primary and secondary literature related to biblical theology. . . . While some may not affirm every aspect of the methodology or conclusions, Christ and the New Creation stimulates our intellect, challenges our conceptions, excites our imaginations, and advances the discussion toward a canonical New Testament theology.”

“Kuykendall provides an excellent guide to the significant features, characters, themes, phrases, and images in John’s Apocalypse with precision, reliability, and exegetical sensitivity. What makes Lions, Locusts, and the Lamb’ unique and helpful is the way it covers a broad range of material in a concise manner that enables the reader to see the depth of theology and the interconnectedness of Revelation’s images. The format allows one to have a comprehensive, ready reference on virtually every character, theme, and symbol. This book takes the complexities of Revelation and arranges them into clear, understandable, and immensely rich components. This book is incredibly well researched and draws on the insights of the best scholarship on Revelation. It is an invaluable guide and resource to understand the tapestry of symbols and theology for anyone studying Revelation. Lion, Locusts, and the Lamb will become required reading for my students when I teach Revelation at my university or in any church.”

“Tom Schreiner masterfully weds exegesis, history, and theology with robust scholarship and judicious balance. Aside from his exegetical precision and fresh interpretive insights, Schreiner’s near-encyclopedic command of the scholarship on Revelation makes this commentary an invaluable resource for all serious study. Instead of merely rehashing what others have said, he faithfully engages the text of Revelation with expert understanding, sensibility, and creativity. Schreiner’s Revelation now joins the ranks of my go-to commentaries along with Aune, Beale, and Koester.”
Revelation and the Two Witnesses
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“Scores of interpreters have exhausted gallons of ink in attempts to adjudicate the identity of the two witnesses, but remarkably few have satisfactorily examined the purpose of these witnesses within the framework of John's Apocalypse. Rob Dalrymple cuts a fresh path through the voluminous mass of past treatments to open up a new vista by examining John's hortatory intent for depicting the 'people on God's side.' This monograph may easily become the standard treatment on the identity and function of the two witnesses.”

“Storbakken’s book provides a much-needed approach that bridges the gap between biblical scholarship and how to apply the message of Revelation in our contemporary church context. . . . He offers principles that help enable believers to think critically about how the message of Revelation challenges how we think and to apply it to a range of social issues. While I may not agree with some of his conclusions, this book represents an excellent guide for the American church to think deeply and critically about the issues facing us today.”
Understanding the New Testament and the End Times, Second Edition
Theology
“I am pleased to recommend Understanding the New Testament and the End Times to anyone ranging from an inquisitive church member to a seasoned biblical scholar. In this book, Rob Dalrymple offers a solid hermeneutical methodology, a biblical theology of eschatology, and an exegetical survey of many key texts and themes in a manner that is fully Christocentric.”
