Bible Studies & Devotionals
“Dream Catcher embeds priceless glimpses into unconventional ways God visits and communicates with humans through dreams—an excellent resource for spiritual reflection that clergy, laypeople, and Bible teachers will find invaluable and timely. After all, God still relates and speaks through dreams.”
Spirituality According to John
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“Spirituality According to John is an invitation to dwell with Christ—a life of faith moved by storytelling that imagines and reimagines lived experiences of God in community rather than by privatized systematic regurgitations of theologically correct abstract doctrines. Dr. Rodney Reeves offers theologically and socially engaged ministers and laypersons invaluable insights into Johannine spirituality foregrounded in the multivalent locution: 'abide.' It enshrines a Christian journey of faith that manifests itself in terms of seeing and believing, confessing sin, denying worldliness, keeping commandments, exercising mutual love, worshiping, and learning to hear Christ in Johannine words. This is an exceptional resource for spiritual formation that clergy, seminarians, and lay ministers will find indispensable for Christian ubuntu.”
The Poetics of Grace: Christian Ethics as Theodicy
Ethics, Culture & Social Issues
“God, in Holloway's groundbreaking The Poetics of Grace, summons us to engage in the divine, transformative work that settles on nothing less than daring, responsible, and participatory biblical ethics in line with God's creative, peacemaking, and reconciling work of sustaining life. This unique reading of Ephesians is a probing and stimulating, delicate and unfailing gift to the academy and the church.”
