Rip’s Knickerbockers

Fiction

“In this devious, hypnotic parable, history hits the reset button. As in Washington Irving’s original tale of Rip Van Winkle, the . . . waggish character Rip has grown old overnight, and memory does a double take when he returns home. Only this time around, in the hands of Linden J. DeBie, the collective experience of early Americans proves even weirder and wilder than Rip’s.”
