2 Samuel

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“This is not simply the best and sufficient commentary on 2 Samuel that explores every sentence in the light of the whole of Scripture, but is also a model of brilliant exposition for any preacher to adopt.”

How Christians Grow

Christian Living

“I teach this topic to seminarians, and the opening chapter beautifully clarifies, focuses, and extends our understanding of spiritual formation. The centering on the progressive work of God is so important and a delight to read. I intend including it in our course.”

Life This Side of Heaven

Church Leadership & Ministry

“Academics research topics. Evangelists are passionate about people knowing Jesus. Richard Wenden is passionate that people be saved, and that tone pervades this book. He draws on sociological, relationship, and communication theory, bringing them to life by applying and nuancing them to beachside communities and then testing and sharpening them in real-life situations. This is a work that is well worth the reading.”
