Creative Disobedience

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“May well create a generation of new readers for Soelle's work amongst those hungry for genuine spiritual truth. Any who have not previously discovered the joy and power of Germany's most theologically poetic and passionate contemporary Christian voice are in for a pleasant surprise!”

Prophecy and Apocalypticism

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“This book will surely make a contribution to the sometimes oversimplified theories of social constructionists in biblical studies. It will help correct a specific mistake of those with a weak grasp of class theory, i.e., connecting or identifying literary genre-voice and class location voice. It is well past the time to stop the patronizing of 'the dispossessed' by assigning them exclusive claims to apocalypticism, a genre that makes the post-Enlightenment academic uneasy, but which has been put to diverse ideological uses throughout history.”

With Passion and Compassion

Theology

“The publication of With Passion and Compassion is cause for celebration. The strong voices of Third World Christian women must be heard, loudly and clearly, by First World white feminists and by any who are serious about human liberation in our time.”
