Exclamation Mark of Tears

Arts & Literature

“Wansoo Kim’s poetry collection, Exclamation Mark of Tears, explores the pain and crises of contemporary society—such as war, hunger, and environmental destruction—through vivid and sensuous metaphorical imagery. His poetry goes beyond mere denunciation or explanation, offering profound insight into reality through refined poetic language. Through a tearful, heartfelt prayer of love, the poet awakens us to the choice that transcends the tragedy of separation, hatred, and strife. This is the fruit of prophetic intellect. In the twenty-first century, Wansoo Kim stands as a forerunner who has taken up the mantle of prophetic intellect in Korea.”
