Foreword

“Posset's new book about the poet and lay theologian Marcus Marulus (1450–1524) offers innovative insights into the role of political allegory, patristic heritage, and christological themes in the works of the Croatian Renaissance humanist. Describing their literary and publication history, as well as their place in the perspective of Christian-Muslim relations, Posset masterfully reveals a vivid network of sources and responses that exist between Marulus’s writings and their European cultural and political context.”
