Brendan Byrne SJ
Biography
Brendan Byrne SJ is Professor Emeritus at the University of Divinity in Melbourne, Australia, and a member of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Byrne earned a DPhil at Oxford and previously taught New Testament at Jesuit Theological College, served as a visiting professor, and was a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission. Byrne wrote Paul and the Economy of Salvation (2026).
