Excavating John's Gospel

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“This is a fresh and helpful look at the Gospel of John. Dr. Bennema treats the biblical text with respect and yet is not afraid to suggest that in certain passages in the Gospel, it is very likely that the right interpretation is not the conventional. Besides, his concern to help his readers understand the text contextually is reflected right through the commentary. This work can be warmly recommended to all those who read the Word so that they might gladly submit to its authority.”

World Religions

“This is a very enlightening and helpful book on a subject that is relevant here in South Asia and makes for interesting reading. The author and his wife have not only spent twenty years in South Asia but have lived among South Asian immigrants since their return to the UK in 1983. Their interest in South Asian religions and their openness to dialogue and learning from their exponents, comes through on every page.”
