Go to Nineveh

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Go to Nineveh is a marvelous compendium of six authorities on Jonah. Readers will come away with deep insights into the biblical book of Jonah and will learn the styles and methods of the different rabbinic authorities from the Middle Ages. . . . This book should be in every synagogue and temple as a companion to the reading of Jonah on Yom Kippur.”

When Judaism Began

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Invoking modern analogies from Shakespeare to Bob Dylan, the Chicago Cubs to Hubert Humphrey, Rabbi Steven Bob deftly unpacks the complex texts of Ezra and Nehemiah. Rabbi Bob teaches his readers about the beginnings of Judaism, Hebrew writing, and public reading of the Torah. I heartily recommend this reader-friendly guide to the end of the biblical era.”
