God's Messiah in the Old Testament
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“In a world of would-be potentates and disappointing presidents, we have a worthy fascination with the dominant personality of Scripture. He is God’s Messiah. In these pages, Abernethy and Goswell open new vistas for a fresh consideration of the only King to ever satisfy. Read this book and rejoice.”

Foreword
“We need these historical narratives from the experience of African American Christ-followers. After all, we have come over a way that with tears has been watered, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered. The intersection of faith and the unique African American story is perhaps the most timely message for America today. It's not just a story that we read, but a story that reads us. This is the kind of book you will want to offer to your children in years to come.”
Preaching & Worship
“The scales by which we measure preaching are imbalanced. We consider width over depth, size over weight. This book has come just in time. It gives a new generation access to the mind, ministry, and heart of Dr. Taylor. It is a compass for those at risk of losing their way. In these pages are principles that never go out of style, matters that elevate preaching from that which moves men's ears to that which moves their hearts.”
Preaching & Worship
“With so many competing visions for black preaching, history needs a documented witness of the prowess and potential of authentic black preaching. Let the Legends Preach is a diamond extracted from the vaults of the brightest of black preaching. Classrooms and congregations are the richer for this resource.”
