John’s Unfolding Cosmic Drama

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Rightfully situating the book of Revelation within its canonical context, this book manages to frame John’s Apocalypse within God’s grand narrative of redemption and victory. By foregrounding Christ Jesus in his majesty and might, Coon and Lioy’s analysis lifts the gaze of the reader to the risen, reigning, and returning Lord. Readers will come to appreciate Revelation as a text that inspires fruitful theologizing, practical ministry engagement, and intentional missional devotion. A refreshing counterpart to obsessively-eschatological or overly-politicized readings, this book is a must for every student of God’s word—especially those in the Majority World.”
