Reading the Bible as a Postexilic Biblical Author Read

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“This book does something fresh: it brings the hermeneutical moves of the Chronicler into conversation with various recent Asian reading approaches. It provides a thoughtful entrée into Asian contextual readings while evaluating them in light of how the Chronicler reads Scripture. Huu-Thien is even-handed as he engages with interpreters across cultures, time, and traditions. I commend it to anyone open to the critical questions surrounding contextual readings of the Bible.”
