Following Faith with P. T. Forsyth

Bible Studies & Devotionals

“McKim has gifted us with a user-friendly resource that introduces Forsyth to a new generation. Part devotional text, part introduction to theology, this book pairs brief excerpts of Forsyth’s unforgettable prose with McKim’s reflections on what they mean for believing and living Christian faith. A beautiful example of how theology matters!”

Lived Vocation

Work, Money & Leadership

“Snyder is a theological Studs Terkel. He has crafted a compelling interpretation of work that pays close attention to the promise and pain of work as well as to the people who do the work. The result is a beautiful interweaving of story and theology, testimony and tradition. A model of how theology is done in community, always connected to Christian life.”

The Golden Band

Theology

“In The Golden Band, Asante Todd has accomplished a remarkable feat: a fresh, multilayered theological treatment of the Spirituals, attentive to their logic of sovereignty that other interpretations have underemphasized. Splendidly researched, the book engages a wide range of conversation partners: Western political ethics, African traditional religions, Black and Womanist theology, contemporary political theology, and the Spirituals themselves. The result is the emergence of a perceptive new voice in theology and ethics as a whole.”

The Wounding and Healing of Desire

Theology

“[Farley] has struck a resonant chord by accomplishing something not seen since Paul Tillich and Karl Rahner: Christian theology that employs broadly ‘secular’ language in communicating the depth of our brokenness and desire for healing.”

Trading With God

Work, Money & Leadership

“Combining his distinguished experience in the corporate world with a clear passion for theology, Ken Snodgrass has produced an eminently readable and practical book. If you have ever felt tension between Sunday and the workweek, if you are interested in concrete suggestions for integrating faith and work that are deeply grounded in the riches of the Christian theological tradition, this book is for you!”
