Church Leadership & Ministry
“Who would have guessed our model of doing life together as the church entering the twenty-first century would be found in the ancient Irish Monastic settlements of the seventh century? With a clear eye toward the ancient past, Ward Davis paints a vivid picture of what Christian community might look like in the future as we face an increasingly secular culture.”
Preaching & Worship
“Hidden deep in Linton’s marvelous volume on preaching, From the East Gate, is this thoughtful phrase, ‘Repentance is insightful.’ Insightful, indeed! If this be true, then call me a sinner seeking what Linton is preaching. . . . Add to this his absolute confidence in the biblical text—the preface is worth the price of the entire book! Mix in his background command of the literary greats . . . And finally, add the whimsy of a first-rate preacher, and you have a volume of sermons that is well worth reading.”
Church Leadership & Ministry
“The 'art' of pastoring, indeed! Not a science, not a technique, not a manual-driven set of programs, but a deeply felt, highly nuanced story of God's transforming grace being manifest by his servants. No one paints this picture of the life and ministry of the pastor better than David Hansen.”
