Silent Voices: Meditations for Holy Week

Bible Studies & Devotionals

“Perhaps this book should be named What Was in Their Head? What was Lazarus thinking after rising from the tomb? What was Judas thinking when Jesus defined him as the betrayer? In the Gospel accounts, only Jesus speaks in first person, so we know some of what other characters were doing but not what they were thinking. Taking strong clues from Scripture, Gregory Athnos takes us most plausibly into their heads. This book will transform your thoughts and heart about those incredible events.”

“Here is a book every pastor should read. With inarguable propositions, Gregory Athnos corrects the unintentional error of omitting the resurrection from its primacy place in our hymns, prayers, and speech. We understand the cross as a great gift for which we give thanks, but fail to see the resurrection as the greatest gift. We should speak of it every Sunday in our worship.”
