Jonathan Edwards, Pastor

History & Biography

“Patricia Tracy's 'Jonathan Edwards, Pastor' is a fine book, gracefully written and full of important new information about Edwards, his father, the lands in the town of Northampton, the seating controversy in the church, the differences between the two revivals, the conflicts over discipline in the community, and Edwards' last battle with his congregation. The social importance and the human vitality in all these subjects shine through Tracy's remarkably intelligent narrative.”
