Christian Living
“The God-Shaped Heart is a book for anyone whose heart has been damaged by a Christianity focused on fear and punishment. It’s a call for people to move beyond law, beyond reactivity, and most importantly beyond a low-level moral development and to grow into a complex, mature, responsible, and compassionate faith. The book is theologically and biblically solid and draws from many deep insights of neuroscience and human development. But beyond all this, what makes Jennings uniquely qualified to lead us into this rich and mature faith is that he speaks from experience—the experience of a lifetime working with people in his psychiatry practice and helping them move toward healing. Tim Jennings does not simply want to change your mind, he also wants to change your heart.”
