Americorona

Arts & Literature

“In Americorona, Philip Kolin demonstrates he is both a disciple of history and a prophet regarding the COVID pandemic. His powerful collection touches upon almost every feeling we as Americans have had about COVID, including hope and salvation, which Kolin deftly weaves into so many of these poems. Each of the seven sections into which the collection is divided begins with a poem about a relevant historical pandemic that Kolin brings to life with glowing detail. . . . I am ready to reread Americorona and recommend it to anyone who has suffered because of the COVID pandemic, which, I think, is just about all of us.”
