Postcards from Patmos

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Some of us have wondered and hoped that we could ask John of Patmos a few follow-up questions about the book of Revelation. Vena has asked and is inviting us to ask as well through this book. Vena situates the book of Revelation historically while providing us cathartic glimpses of engaging John from a first-person point of view. A must-read for apocalyptically inquisitive minds.”

The Gospel and the Playground

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

Foreword

“Osvaldo Vena offers a refreshing insight in reading the Gospel of Mark with the poems of children from around the world. Vena’s cultural-artistic and intertextual reading of Mark with children’s poetry is trailblazing, invigorating, and liberating. In a world that neglects the voices of the children, Vena centers the presence of the children not just in reading the Gospel of Mark but also on how we should prophetically and creatively live here and now.”
