Christian Living
“The wisdom of the Bible is designed to reveal the underlying moral and spiritual realities God has built into His creation. Max Anders has tapped into that wisdom to spell out for us some of the ways things work in God’s world. Always readable and well-illustrated, Don’t Sink Your Own Ship will help more than a few readers avoid some divinely placed brick walls and find the way God wills them to take.”
The Godless Constitution and the Providential Republic
Ethics, Culture & Social Issues
“Could I assign required reading for America’s religious leaders, Steven D. Smith’s The Godless Constitution and the Providential Republic might top the list. His is the critical insight so often missing in discussions of religion in America. Nowhere else will readers find a more insightful (and readable) account of how a historically Providence-oriented America morphed into the secular society we now inhabit, and what this profound transition may bode for the nation’s future.”
The Scandal of the Evangelical Conscience
Christian Living
“If you’ve ever wondered why today’s evangelicals lack the societal influence their numbers would seem to bestow, Ron Sider offers an answer in The Scandal of the Evangelical Conscience. Quibble with him here and there as we might, but until the evangelical church is willing to face the biblical issues Sider raises, I fear we will continue to find our cultural saltiness leaching away.”
Church Leadership & Ministry
“Worldly attitudes and behavior on the part of the Corinthian congregation prompted a body of godly instruction from the Apostle Paul. David Starling mines that apostolic instruction for leadership insights, badly needed in our own Corinthian times. Thoughtful and well written, UnCorinthian Leadership will be a bracing read for Christian leaders everywhere.”
Christian Living
“Steve Kellough's Walking with Jesus on Campus is the book every Christian college student needs. Its wise, practical, thoroughly biblical counsel is the product of its author's well-honed pastoral gifts and his years of experience in shepherding students. I witnessed that ministry closely during our seventeen years of working together on a single campus; I can testify to its effectiveness. Thus it delights me to think that now, through this very readable book, future generations of Christian students everywhere will be able to come under Chaplain Steve's gracious pastoral care.”
