African Literacies and Western Oralities?
Evangelism & Missions
“Coppedge's research of the interplay of orality, ritual, and material components in discipleship is of utmost significance. Though some might presuppose that Christians in the Global South predominantly prefer orality and storytelling, Coppedge's study demonstrates an interesting cultural association between literary education and economic empowerment. Simply put, we must not underestimate the holistic benefits for those individuals and communities who can access the written word for themselves. I highly recommend this insightful work.”

Evangelism & Missions
“With a missionary’s heart, a theologian’s mind, and a historian’s pen, Karl Dahlfred opens a window into the relationship between theological controversy and missiological methodology. He traces the effects of the early twentieth-century modernist controversy on the missionaries of Thailand and their theological formulation and cultural adaptation within the unique Thai context. A fascinating study.”
Children & Youth
“For anyone struggling to understand and minister to Gen Z, Tanner Callison has done us all a favor. With a discerning mind and a compassionate heart, he demystifies common misperceptions of this generation. I recommend Tanner’s cultural-generational study and trans-generational biblical principles as both wise and accessible to any reader seeking to minister to Gen Z.”
Evangelism & Missions
“Some books highlight the challenges of suffering and persecution, but few apply it to the missionary life. With the mind of a theologian, the heart of a pastor, and the experience of a missionary, Matt Rhodes thoughtfully addresses the opposition and hardship that so many missionaries face. While many are initially naive to the hazards of Great Commission service, this book will help missionaries and those who send them to think biblically and prepare wisely for persecution in the task of missions. This book is much needed for any missions training.”
