Antistite nostro: The Episcopal Ministry in the Life of the Local Church

Church Leadership & Ministry

“The faculty of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology has produced an outstanding collection of essays in honor of Archbishop Dennis Schnurr on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of his priestly ordination. While many theologians reflect on the diaconate and priesthood, these scholars offer useful insights into the identity of the bishop and importance of episcopal ministry in the life of the diocese. Archbishop Schnurr’s commitment to the seminary, priestly vocations, governance and stewardship, building on the legacy of his predecessors, will have a lasting impact on the mission of evangelization for generations to come.”

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“People often claim to have read the whole Bible. I ask, 'Well, what did you think of 1 and 2 Chronicles?' Usually, a blank stare or an admission of guilt follows. With Dr. Hahn's new volume, these books of the Bible come to life, drawing the reader into the rich liturgical patrimony of the Old Testament while offering practical applications for life today. Serving as a bridge between Testaments and offering hope to those in darkness, the text delves, with remarkable clarity, into common biblical themes of covenant, temple, priesthood, and prayer. Once again, Dr. Hahn shares the treasury of the Word of God with the wider Church.”
