Biography

Edgar C. S. Gibson (1848–1924) was educated at Charterhouse and at Trinity College, Oxford. Gibson served as Chaplain and later Vice Principal of Wells Theological College, as principal of Leeds Clergy School, and as Vicar of Leeds Parish Church, as well as Rural Dean, before becoming Bishop of Gloucester. Gibson wrote The Book of Job with Introduction and Notes, The Three Creeds, and The Thirty-Nine Articles of the Church of England, 2 Volumes.
