The Christian as Imitator of Christ

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“God created a single human race in Genesis. Science has substantiated a single human origin from Africa. The Catholic priest and theologian, Father Gustavo Gutiérrez, reminds us that at the heart of Christ’s gospel is the primacy of the poor in God’s kingdom. So, how can Euro-American Christians harbor prejudice towards non-white Christians and the poor? The Christian as Imitator of Christ seeks to re-orient Christians by reminding us of the history and the distinguishing marks of our faith. It provides a guide to Christian conduct in our contemporary times, and how living in imitation of Christ would make our world a genuinely better place. This is a book every Christian must read.”
