“This slender volume is a compressed treasure. The texts represent Benedict's more pastoral and even intimate side. This highly personal style lends a universal accessibility to his always profound thoughts. With good reason Pope Francis calls the book in his foreword 'a kind of "spiritual synthesis" of the writings of Benedict XVI'.”
History & Biography
“A lively summary of patristic theology. To call the Fathers 'singing-masters of my soul' pays them the highest tribute. Indeed, the whole Patristic endeavor had only one goal: to teach the human soul how to sing the divine praises with joyful gratitude and understanding.”
