40/40 Vision

Christian Living

“Finding meaningful work, making sense of disappointments, valuing relationships with those around you—these are the questions that many deal with in the second half of life. Greer and Lafferty help us rethink our relationship to work, expectations and others. They use the ancient wisdom of Ecclesiastes to speak poignantly into the realities (and questions) of modern life.”

A Million Miles in a Thousand Years

Christian Living

“examine our own lives. From a cross-country bike ride to a living room editing session, Don’s scenes invite us to explore our own stories, wherever they may be taking place. I hope you’ll take Don up on his challenge and make your own story one worth telling.”

Beauty and Justice

Christian Living

“Haejin and Mako’s reflections in Beauty and Justice have brought deep refreshment to my soul. Together, their lives model a profound commitment to pursuing our God of justice, who so lavishly invites us to cocreate with him. As they share their lives on these pages, they bring invigorating new insights that I hope will encourage many toward renewed partnership with God in his mission to end violence and make all things new.”

Call for Justice

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“Kurt Ver Beek and the AJS team have dedicated themselves to the work of justice in Honduras with relentless courage and tenacity. For decades AJS has defended and protected the vulnerable, even in the face of violent opposition. As an exploration of the AJS model for transforming justice systems, Call for Justice embodies a rare combination of warmth and rigor; it's highly accessible as a dialogue between Ver Beek and Wolterstorff, while also providing a framework for confronting corruption and engaging broken justice systems. This book will be a significant companion for anyone who is serious about doing the work of justice over the long haul.”

Called

Christian Living

“Mark Labberton is a source of wisdom and deep friendship to me personally and to the whole of IJM as we join God's invitation to seek justice in the world. In this latest book, Mark offers the gift of great clarity in the midst of urgency. Jesus beckons, 'Follow me' and he shows us the path—love. Love God, love your neighbor. Mark's teaching helps us understand this simple, powerful call to follow, to love. This is what we must most urgently know and do and live. This is the call that will transform the world as we answer.”

God of Justice

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“Toyama-Szeto and George have built a formative resource for the global church. Deep passion and robust scholarship combine to form compelling insights for a sustained engagement in justice. An essential tool for churches desiring to bring freedom and restoration for the vulnerable.”

Great to Good

Christian Living

“Pastor Lee provides us with encouragement by sharing his deep love for God, inspiration from God's Word, and a reminder of the simple but clear invitation Jesus offers us to follow him and love others. Just as Jesus has been a Good Shepherd to each of us, we are now called to bring this same love, joy, hope, justice, and restoration to a hurting world.”

Invitation to Solitude and Silence

Prayer & Spiritual Formation

“I have not otherwise found a more excellent and accessible guide for those who seek, as Elijah, to know and be known by God in solitude and silence. . . . I have given this book to all of our employees and it has become an integral part of what we call '8:30 Stillness.'”

Liberation Is Here

Women

“Nikole Lim's Liberation Is Here is the story of three African women, all of them sexually assaulted as children, and their extraordinary journeys to survival, restoration, and leadership. Their unforgettable stories convey the appalling reality of near-total impunity enjoyed by men who rape children. Ms. Lim finds hope in the breathtaking courage of rape survivors whose suffering has compelled them to advocate on behalf of others.”

Playing God

Christian Living

“Perhaps no question with such urgent life-and-death consequences is more poorly understood among Christians in our era than the stewardship of power; but gloriously, in Playing God, Andy Crouch provides the clarity we need in this once-in-a-generation work of sweeping theological and sociological depth. It is fresh, rigorous, profoundly helpful and a delight to read.”

Pursuing God's Will Together

Church Leadership & Ministry

“I have been grateful for Ruth Haley Barton's wisdom in the past on spiritual disciplines so crucial for the soul of a leader. I am sure her latest work will be of great benefit to those who seek the grace of discernment in their work and ministries.”

Social Justice Handbook

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“People often ask me for resources on what they can do about injustice in the world. Now I can point them to Mae Cannon's Social Justice Handbook. This guide is packed full of resources and ideas for following the God of justice both at home and around the globe.”

The Dangerous Act of Worship

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“The Dangerous Act of Worship is extraordinary because it is so concretely helpful. It offers American church leaders a way out from the disappointments of dead-end worship, and does so with tangible stories and examples that are inspiring, convicting, clear and practical. Every so often, a book comes along that, for the brave of heart, actually has the potential to transform a leader's whole mindset about what they are doing and leading. This is such a book.”

The Giver and the Gift

Church Leadership & Ministry

“This book will be a refreshing read for anyone who desires to give or receive funds that advance God’s Kingdom in the world.”

The Hole in Our Gospel 2025 Edition

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“Rich Stearns calls us to exhilarating obedience to God’s life-altering, world-changing command to reflect his love to our neighbors at home and globally. The Hole in Our Gospel is imbued with the hope of what is possible when God’s people are transformed to live radically in light of his great love.”

Uncommon Ground

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“For anyone struggling to engage well with others in an era of toxic conflict, this book provides a framework, steeped in humility, that is not only insightful but is readily actionable. I'm grateful for the vulnerability and wisdom offered by each of the twelve leaders who contributed to this book. The task of learning to love well--neighbors and enemies alike--is long and urgent, and it can be costly. And yet, as this book shows us, because it is the work of Jesus, we can pursue this love with great hope.”
