“'Those who walk with the wise become wise.' Mounce believes in that gem of wisdom so much that he has collected hundreds of quotes over the years to learn from the wise. He includes those quotes in this clear, clever, insightful little book. But he does more. . . . He actually raises questions along the way, even of the wise, which turns him into a sage himself. I suspect he smiled as he wrote this book, smiled because he loves the quotes he has included in the book but smiled also because he believes that the accumulation of wisdom requires deep reflection and careful examination.”
Apologetics
“Lee Strobel has given both believers and skeptics alike a gift in this book. He does not avoid asking the most difficult questions imaginable—questions about God and suffering, about divine judgment and hell, about injustice, and about the exclusivity of Christ. He dares to deal with complexity too, thus refusing to pander to readers or provide simplistic answers that do more harm than good. Yet his style of writing—by recording interviews with experts who address these difficult questions—makes the book surprisingly accessible and winsome. I found it both helpful and captivating.”

Fiction
“Steve has written a book that reads one way for adults, another for children. And both are good reads. This is a story about the significance of story. Steve Lympus is using story to help us think about how we read our own stories. This grand adventure will woo and win children; it will move and inspire adults. That is no small feat. I can't wait to read it to my grandchildren.”
The Unexpected Christian Century
History & Biography
“It would be hard to overestimate the valuable contribution Scott Sunquist has made to our understanding of the global Christian movement. This short volume illustrates the point. His knowledge is encyclopedic, his perspective fresh. This volume serves as an excellent introduction to what appeared at the beginning to be the century of Western dominance but ended up being so very different. As Sunquist intimates, we are witnessing the most dramatic century of change since the early Christian period.”
Theology
Foreword
“Michael has written a marvelous and ambitious book--part historical narrative, part theological tract, part apologia, part pastoral letter, part prophetic call. . . . I commend this book to you, the reader. He invites us to join him on a journey--or more appropriately, a pilgrimage--to explore what has been lost to the memory of the church but can be found again. He is a trustworthy guide who will help us do the finding. I am one who is ready to follow.”
