Broken, Searching, Trusted, Powerful

Women

“This book is a Bible study, a personal trek rather than the diary of someone else’s journey. Each chapter has three parts: (1) a concise, well-written introduction to a woman described in the Bible; (2) a collection of related Bible texts that take a deep dive into this woman’s real, personal decisions; and (3) a toolbox of questions to weigh her choices against the most important teachings of the Bible.”

Reflections on Revelation in the Time of COVID

Bible Studies & Devotionals

“I came to Susan’s work looking for what her poems could add to my appreciation of the book of Revelation. I was not disappointed. I now think regular poetry would be a wonderful supplement to any reading of Revelation. Poetry like this brings home the themes of the book and adds a needed depth of feeling. Susan’s creative, startling, delightful images fascinate long enough for her message to get through our natural defense of avoiding honest pain. Some selections, like “Unmasked,” are examples of the fine art that can rise out of shared suffering. The work is decidedly positive, as the themes of the gospel are never far away, finding God’s chosen response intertwined in every human need.”
