H.A. Kelly
Biography
H.A. Kelly has served as Distinguished Research Professor in the Division of the Humanities at UCLA, and previously directed UCLA's Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. A former member of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and a former Junior Fellow in the Society of Fellows, Kelly earned a Ph.D. in medieval and Renaissance literature from Harvard University, studied theology at Weston College (Boston College), and received a Ph.L. in philosophy and an A.M. in classics and philosophy from St. Louis University. Kelly's books include Satan in the Bible, God's Minister of Justice (2017), Tragedy and Comedy from Dante to Pseudo-Dante (2004), and The Devil at Baptism (2004).
