How Does Sanctification Work?

Theology

“To know David Powlison is to know a man who is growing in the sweet fruit of sanctifying grace. To witness his ministry is to see one whom the Lord is using to sanctify many. That is why I am so grateful for How Does Sanctification Work? One of the most crucial areas of debate among Christians today concerns the doctrine of sanctification. David’s is a voice of sound, biblical wisdom in the midst of much confusion. If you are looking for a book on sanctification that is profoundly personal, biblically balanced, and deeply relevant, then this is it.”

Pursuing Peace

Christian Living

“You do not need to read this book if you never experience conflict or do not know anyone else that does. If, however, conflict is part of your experience—as it is for the rest of us—you must read this book. Dr. Jones’s words are anchored in the words of Scripture, rich in the graces of Christ, and full of practical wisdom. This book will serve as a reliable guide to anyone interested in pursuing relational peace.”

Risky Gospel

Christian Living

“I love this book. I love this book because it calls you to risk and do things that matter. I love this book because it calls you to risk with the strength available in Christ. And I love this book because it not only tells you what to accomplish and how, but it actually gets you excited about doing it. I’m excited about sharing this book with those in my ministry. You should be too.”

Side by Side

Christian Living

“The task of counseling is the task of loving others well. This book will help you to know what the love of Christ looks like, how to extend it to others, and how to accept it from others as you live in relationship together.”

The Pastor as Counselor

Church Leadership & Ministry

“David Powlison was a remarkable man. Out of his passion that the church of Jesus Christ take up the mantle of care for broken human beings in this fallen world, he became the quintessential leader of the biblical counseling movement. Out of his incredible gifting to communicate this with beauty and grace, he became one of the most compelling Christian authors of his generation. When he was finalizing the draft for The Pastor as Counselor, he told me it was the favorite thing he had ever written. I picked it up then and found it immediately compelling. Reviewing it again, I was more encouraged than I was the first time I read it. As a busy pastor myself, I promise that you and your church need to hear what Powlison has to say. If you are looking for a glorious, compelling, and clear introduction to the heart of Christ for his church, you will not find a better place to start than this book.”
