Herbert B. Workman
Biography
Herbert B. Workman (1862–1951) served in the Wesleyan ministry as a circuit minister, and later as Principal of Westminster College and President of the Wesleyan Conference. Workman also served as Cole Lecturer at Vanderbilt University and as Visiting Professor of Methodist Church History at the University of Chicago. Workman studied at Owens College, Manchester. Workman's books include John Wyclif; A Study of the English Medieval Church, Persecution in the Early Church, and The Evolution of the Monastic Ideal.
