Hobert Farrell previously pastored a Congregational Church in Salem, Massachusetts. Farrell was a graduate assistant and Ph.D. candidate at Boston University School of Theology, and taught at John Wesley College in Owosso, Michigan, and at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Farrell wrote A Practical Workbook to J. Gresham Machen's New Testament Greek for Beginners (2003).
