“Deep Peace is broad in its coverage, deep in its insight, and practical in its wisdom. It is calming medicine for the soul, and I highly recommend it.”
Marriage, Family & Relationships
“Tragically, we westerners still do not take the demonic seriously, especially when it comes to addressing problems in our marriage. That is until now. As far as I know, my friend and colleague Tim Muehlhoff has written the only book that tackles this crucial yet neglected aspect of cultivating healthy marriages. I really can't say enough about Defending Your Marriage. It is thoroughly biblically based and experientially sound; it is so well written that it reads like a novel, and it is chock-full of insights and practical applications. To be honest, I don't see how anyone can afford not to read this book who is involved in marriage counseling or simply wants his or her marriage to grow. It deftly adds a new dimension to marriage protection and enrichment that you will find nowhere else.”
Theology
“John Lennox is widely recognized as one of the top Christian intellectuals of our time. Yet he is also rightly admired for his uncanny ability to get right down to the basic issues in a discussion and to write about them with a simple clarity that still exemplifies depth and range of treatment. And, as one would expect, Determined to Believe? is a model of these virtues. This is no ordinary rehash of old debates about Calvinism vs. Arminianism, God’s sovereignty vs. free will and moral responsibility, and so on. In fact, the real brilliance of the book lies in Lennox’s insistence that we set aside old labels and try a fresh approach with new eyes to the topics related to the acceptance or non-acceptance of theological determinism. As a result, this is a treasure trove of clear, easy to understand biblical exegesis, helpful definitions of key terms like “foreknowledge” and “predestine”, and coverage of theological determinism as it relates to the human condition, the nation of Israel and the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart, and the assurance a believer may rightly claim regarding one’s salvation. I highly recommend this refreshing and helpful book.”
Apologetics
“For several decades, Robert Larmer has labored over the various topics related to miracles. And with Dialogues on Miracles , we are treated to the mature fruit of his labor. This book is simply excellent. It updates coverage of traditional topics (the definition of a miracle), but it adds topics seldom related to miracles (miracles and the problem of evil). And besides being treated to a feast of ideas regarding miracles, Larmer writes the book in a dialogue style, making the ideas very accessible. . . . I highly recommend Dialogues on Miracles .”
Apologetics
“There are lots of books available on the existence of God, but few, if any, that do a good job of presenting all the key arguments in a historical and contemporary way. Professor Beck's book Does God Exist? is a rare exception. It is important to realize that, setting aside a disdain for old books, a careful study of an argument as it develops in the history of philosophy is more than a mere expression of intellectual curiosity. Much can be learned from the past that is of immense contemporary importance. Beck is a well-respected philosopher and brings decades of teaching and research to this book. I highly recommend it.”
Does Science Make God Irrelevant?
Ethics, Culture & Social Issues
“The greatest strength of this exciting, accessible book is the clear way Madueme respects and describes the various interactions between Christianity and science. He rightly notes that the warfare depiction of their relationship has been rejected by historians of science for decades. Where there are conflicts, they by no means characterize the main ways faith and science have rightly interacted for centuries. This is a must-read, if for no other reason than how it debunks the standard narrative about alleged conflicts between Christianity and science, such as the Galileo affair and the Scopes Trial. Madueme knows his stuff, and I highly recommend this book.”
Doing Philosophy as a Christian
Philosophy
“With graduate degrees in theology and philosophy, and years of deep reflection, Garry DeWeese is uniquely qualified to write on how to approach philosophy from a Christian perspective. And Doing Philosophy as a Christian does just that. In page after page, DeWeese offers fresh insight and deep reflection about how to honor Jesus as Lord in the task of doing philosophy. This is a must-read for all interested in worldview development and the integration of Scripture with the field of philosophy.”

“With the publication of Confronting Injustice without Compromising Truth, Professor Williams established himself as a leading evangelical philosophical theologian with a tender heart for Jesus and others. He also possesses a keen eye for the hot-button issues in culture that are undermining unbelievers and believers alike. Now comes Don’t Follow Your Heart, a penetrating book of insights that get deep into the heart of the emotional and spiritual suffering ubiquitous in our society. Not content to identify the fundamental problems, Williams goes on to provide us with ways to spot a set of problems in our own lives and practical steps to set them aside and live a more flourishing biblical life. The book is deep but quite accessible and fun to read. I strongly recommend this book.”

Foreword
“It would be a shame—and profoundly unbiblical—if we saw God's actions only in dramatic events. Such a limited perspective leaves out an awareness of what God is doing in the more ordinary course of events. Muehlhoff solves this problem in a way that makes this book a must-read. We don't want to take the ordinary course of events as occasions blindly to see them as divine orchestrations 'through the eyes of faith.' No, we need to be given reasons for taking them in this way. We need tools and specific examples that help us develop steady convictions about this way of seeing. I can't think of a better book that addresses these issues than Eyes to See. Its release is for such a time as this.”
Evangelism & Missions
“Tim Downs knows how to write, he practices what he preaches, and he has addressed a crying need in a skillful, unique way. If you want to gain insight or communicating the gospel effectively to contemporary culture, this is the first book you should read.”
Five Proofs of the Existence of God
Philosophy
“Edward Feser is widely recognized as a top scholar in the history of philosophy in general, and in Thomistic and Aristotelian philosophy in particular. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in natural theology. I happily and highly recommend it.”
Four Views on Christian Metaphysics
Philosophy
“For some time now, metaphysics in general, and Christian metaphysics in particular, has returned to the playing field. Unfortunately, there has been little of help in exploring comparatively various metaphysical systems and their aptness for spelling out a Christian ontology. With the release of Four Views on Christian Metaphysics, that problem is solved. Mosteller . . . has assembled an outstanding group of representatives for four important positions. The writing is rigorous and informed, yet readable. . . . This would be an excellent text in a course in metaphysics. I highly recommend it.”
Four Views on Christianity and Philosophy
Philosophy
“Gould and Davis have put together a grand-slam home run! I predict that this will be one of the very best in the Counterpoints series. The introduction and conclusion by Gould and Davis are helpful, informative, and very interesting. And, wow, did they pick great representatives of each view or what? Oppy is, in my view, the top philosophical atheist writing today. And McGrew and Moser are not only household names in the field but top representatives of very important and distinctive views. And Oliphint is among a very small handful of top Reformed apologists. But what is really shocking about this treasure is that these high-level thinkers have managed to write chapters that are understandable to a nonspecialist. Christian philosophy is on the rise, and believers need to think through its role in Christianity. This book is the place to start that journey.”

“Endorsements for Full Gospel, Fractured Minds? by Rick M. Nañez The greatest explosive movement of any kind in history has been the expansion of the kingdom of God in the last sixty years. By some estimates, seventy percent of this expansion has come at the hands of Pentecostal, Charismatic, or Third-Wave believers. Clearly, God has honored these believers, and they have much to teach other parts of the body of Christ. That’s the good news. The bad news is that this part of Christ’s body has, sadly and unnecessarily, been anti-intellectual for far too long. This has not only hurt the health of a more Spirit-oriented fellowship, but it has prevented them from having a greater impact on their more traditional evangelical brothers and sisters. With gratitude to God, I am delighted to celebrate the publication of Full Gospel, Fractured Minds? by Rick Nañez. Standing squarely within the Pentecostal-Charismatic tradition, Nañez cannot be dismissed as an outside critic or faulted for not knowing the community he challenges. I know of no book like this. Its uniqueness lies in being a distinctively Pentecostal-Charismatic call to the life of the mind. This is must reading for all Pentecostal-Charismatic believers, and those outside this camp will gain much insight into and encouragement about their Pentecostal-Charismatic sojourners. Nañez’s book is sure to help bring about a deeper love and unity throughout the body of Christ.”
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“Poring over Gift and Giver was a deeply moving experience because it is composed by a world-renowned scholar who is also overtly supernatural in his thinking and life. Some accounts he shares are just flat-out miracles--and encouraging ones at that.”
Theology
“This is a really great book! Brad Sickler is able to explain complex ideas in a readable, enjoyable style. Pulling from several academic disciplines, this book is full of new, refreshing, and insightful ideas. Sickler’s treatment of the relationship between science and religion is alone worth the price of the book. I highly recommend this treasure of learning.”
Apologetics
“Grand Central Question is a very informed and well-written tour of important worldview topics. The book's unique strength resides in its fruitful interaction with Islam. I highly recommend it.”
