Prayer in John’s Farewell Discourse

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Dr. Adams’ book embodies the spirit of fides quaerens intellectum—faith seeking understanding. This book provides fresh perspectives on the function of prayer in John’s Farewell Discourse. It is an academic book with soul behind it, and I warmly recommend it as a helpful resource in theological institutions and in the church.”

The Essence of the Christian Worldview

“In this book, Matt DeLockery explores the question of what the 'essence' of the Christian worldview really is. First and foremost, this question is one revolving around understanding our identity in Christ. DeLockery energetically endeavors to help the reader understand and discover not only the ancient Mediterranean context in which this same question was asked and answered, but also what the implication of this is for contemporary reflection on our identity and ethos in Christ.”
