Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“‘Contextualization’ has become a buzzword in theological studies in recent years. Burnett skillfully considers how the original textual context should influence our interpretation of Pauline theology in the contexts in which we find ourselves today. Drawing on his years of study and teaching, Burnett sums up the ‘essence of Paul’ in a way that is accessible to those who simply wish to deepen their knowledge, and thought-provoking for those undertaking Pauline studies. I will be recommending it for years to come.”
