Kingdom and Empire

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“Kingdom and Empire confronts us with the stunning reality that Christians in the West are enculturated into the ways of a dominant empire. This book thoughtfully explores the tension between living as God’s kingdom people whilst embedded in a society that first seeks to perpetuate its own power and affluence. Let this be a wake-up call for churches to reimagine how truly embracing the values of the kingdom can transform lives, communities, and our world.”

Pandemic, Public Health, and the People of God

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“This book is a timely reminder that as Jesus’ followers, we must thoughtfully engage in the healing of our communities through every aspect of life, just as he did—not only during a pandemic, but at all times. As part of our Christian witness, we are always challenged to hold the tension between our individual desires and working for collective good within our neighborhoods and the world.”
