America, a Redemption Story

History & Biography

“My great friend Tim Scott has written a book that I hope gets into the hands (and hearts) of every American. Politics can be tough, and Tim has never shied away from a fight if he knew it was worth fighting. But in this extraordinary memoir, Tim sets aside political arguments in favor of storytelling—and what a compelling story it is. Tim’s unshakeable hope and his passion for creating opportunities for the people he serves are rooted in his story. He’s traveled the path from poverty to success, from feeling lost to finding his purpose. His story, along with the many stories he shares of other Americans who sacrificed much—and accomplished even more—is both an inspiration and a challenge: Will you have the courage to take hold of the opportunities in front of you? Will you become an everyday hero through simple acts of kindness and service? I heartily recommend this book to everyone who shares Tim’s hope for a better tomorrow and his commitment to protecting and nurturing America’s status as the land of opportunity.”
