“I dedicate this book to my late parents, John B. Kabango and Veredian K. Karwera. Their love and encouragement never ceased and guided me even after they both died in exile. Their love remains an inspiration and a challenge to serve those in need. I also dedicate this book to the many Rwandan people who perished in terrible conditions while in exile—after being deprived of their national rights. And most of all, to all who perished in 1990–1994 during the genocide.”
