Jonah

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“In her masterful and compelling engagement of Jonah as a symbolic trauma narrative, Juliana Claassens truly has offered us a prophet—and a commentary—for our own time. Both critically sophisticated and grounded in an ethical commitment to the marginalized, this stellar addition to the OTL series is an unflinching yet steady companion for addressing the wounds inflicted by ancient and modern empires.”

Re-Reading the Prophets through Corporate Globalization

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“This timely reprint will extend the reach of Coomber’s important volume. His insightful comparisons between modern agrarian communities devastated by corporate globalization and eighth-century Judean subsistence farming disrupted by the Assyrian imperial economy underscores that, in the past as in the present, harm is perpetuated not only by greedy individuals but also by inequitable economic systems.”
