An Intertextual Commentary on Romans, Volume 4

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“It is a privilege to recommend this fourth and final volume on Romans. There are many commentaries on Paul’s letter to the Romans, but hardly any like this. Crisler reads Romans consistently from its wider Old Testament background. This paves the way for new insights into the wider terrain in which Paul reasons, thinks, and writes. Crisler has given scholars and students alike a tool and resource not to be ignored.”

The Final Triumph of God

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“I have never read a book that so clearly and precisely explains 1 Corinthians 15 and Paul’s thoughts on resurrection. In Ware’s book, exegesis and theology embrace each other in fascinating and persuasive ways. Fresh light is cast on details as well as the ideas at play in this chapter. Ware critiques the widely held opinion that Paul, unlike the Gospels, held a spiritual view of the resurrection. This is a must read for scholars as well as students!”
