Beyond Myth: The Creation Series, Volume One

Science & Faith

“In Beyond Myth, Wallace Clausen provides a fresh look at Genesis chapters 1–3 with a focus on how these poetic verses were understood in their original context. Clausen contends that these verses were never meant as biological history, but rather as theological and spiritual insight. He seizes on the preeminent theme of ‘rulership’ delegated by God to human beings, and ways that rulership has gone awry, including today’s misguided attempts at an unholy alliance between church and state inherent in Christian nationalism. Beyond Myth is a compelling read for those keen to better understand how the early chapters of Genesis inform God’s intention of kingdom rule.”
