Kenneth Pohly (1923–2016) earned a Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Vanderbilt University, and also studied at North Central College. Pohly previously served as Professor of Pastoral Care and Director of Supervised Ministry at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Pohly wrote Transforming the Rough Places (2016).
