Calvin on the Death of Christ

Theology

“This book has all of the characteristics that make a historical theology study significant. It is balanced, precise, thorough, and readable. Hartog skillfully sorts through Calvin’s works and the multitude of secondary sources and brings the study to an insightful conclusion. The twenty-five-page bibliography is itself worth the price of the book. I highly recommend it.”

The Seven Revivals of the Apocalypse

Fiction

“The Seven Revivals of the Apocalypse is a fascinating study of the Lord’s letters to the seven churches described in Revelation 1–3 set in the context of a well-crafted novel. The author skillfully intertwines accurate biblical commentary, insightful descriptions, and an intriguing and suspenseful story about the recently converted messenger who takes the seven letters to the churches. I highly recommend this book.”
